  1. Work experience (research)
2013 Assistant Professor, Automatic Control and Systems Engineering Department, University “Politehnica” of Bucharest, Romania
2011-2012 Postdoctoral research fellow, Department of Engineering Cybernetics, NTNU, Trondheim, Norway
    supervisor Morten Hovd
grant ERCIM Alain Bensoussan Fellowship Programme, co-funded by the European Commission under the FP7 Marie-Curie ABCDE action
description The research programme focused on two areas: i) design of penality functions for exact soft constraints in MPC; ii) Model Predictive Control and Identification
2008-2011 PhD student in Control Engineering, Department of Automatic Control, Ecole Superieure d'Electricite (SUPELEC), Gif sur Yvette, France
thesis title Fault tolerant control based on set-theoretic methods
    supervisor Sorin Olaru
grant Financed through the Carnot C3S Institute
description The thesis studied fault detection and isolation/tolerant control mechanisms under set theoretic methods. Invariant/bounding sets were used to define the healthy and faulty functioning of a system. Various optimization-based control strategies were developed to fulfill performance and stability objectives under fault occurrences
